a map of Edison Park
Edison Park was named after the famous inventor, Thomas Edison, and was one of the earliest neighborhoods to adopt electric streetlamps. Today, one of the biggest attractions of the area is its large dining district. People from all over Chicago travel to Edison Park to experience the array of restaurants. Housing in the area ranges from Victorian and English Tudors to newer, single-family homes, condos, bungalows, and flats. O’Hare airport is very close by. The actual park features a playground and a recreational facility, the Edison Park Field House, which was originally a four-room school.
